Xbox 360 and Rockstar Games recently collaborated for an exclusive event that introduced the public to the latest addition (exclusively for Xbox) of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The game is called The Lost and Damned. Same premise, different characters. The idea is that you are now a member of a bike gang that- in addition to completing missions- terrorizes the city the same way any character has ever had for GTA. The Lost and Damned is the first exclusive downloadable add-on episode from Rockstar Games, extending the GTA IV franchise for Xbox 360 owners as they take control of bike gang leader Johnny Klebitz through Liberty City.
The event was HOT. Industry heads and game lovers got the chance to play GTA while enjoying beats from Funkmaster Flex, DJ Enuff and his crew of Heavy Hitters. There were flat screens and Xbox 360 consoles for the guests to try out the game and test their GTA skills. Celebs even showed up, including, Lady J., Mr. C., Laura Styles, L Boogs, DJ Enuff and Tony Touch. Check out some photos below and the debut trailer of The Lost and Damned.

Isabel Toledo and Jason Wu aren’t the only designers who were recently praised for dressing our First Lady. New Jersey Cubano Narciso Rodriguez has been making noise in the fashion industry for the past couple of years including last November when Michelle Obama wore one of his items. And earlier this week, he returned to the forefront to showcase his autumn collection.
Narciso Rodriguez’s models strut their stuff down the runway with their futuristic catwalk, garments like eccentric headwear that resembled a ski mask and a black-and-white camouflage jacket. Rodriguez also kept part of his collection chic and simple with tailored suits and dresses adorned with lace and prints. - Mercedes Sanchez
Fashion is only part of Fashion Week. Before the models hit the runway, photographers and attendees are gawking at celebrities sitting on the front row. See who are some of the A-list stars scoping out the Mercedes Benz Fall 2009 collections:
Brazilian designer Carlos Miele graced the runway once again. At the Promenade in Bryant Park, Miele’s models including Dominican model Arlenis Sosa, rocked the runway in stiff-pleating pieces and silk satin dresses to the tune of a live guitarist. Miele says that for his fall collection he was inspired by architecture. Take a look at some his masterpieces below:
This season Justin Timberlake hit Fashion Week not just as a stylish celebrity, but as a fashion designer. JT launched his William Rast line in 2005 with his childhood friend Trace Ayala, but it wasn’t until Monday that it had its Bryant Park debut. And since the former N’Sync bad boy has a number of other projects on the side, designers Johan and Marcella Lindeberg have lead roles within the collection.
At first glance I wasn’t too sure what to make of the garments. The models looked like hipsters from the Village and like some young people at any mall circa 1988. But Justin says that his inspiration comes from “a new America”.
Check out the photos below, and let me know your thoughts on JT’s William Rast Fall 2009 collection.
