It’s cold in New York, and I’ve been looking forward to the summer. But after sitting through the Twinkle by Wenlan show, I wouldn’t mind a couple more cold months if I owned the chunky knitted scarves, dresses and sweaters she spoke to us about. Wenlan says her Fall 2010 collection is about a mysterious story unfolding. “A dark fairy tale, a lullaby of the forest.”

Pop music sensation, Ke$ha, made a serious statement last night at Erin Wasson X RVCA Fashion Week showing when she posed for paps wearing barely anything else but a What Goes Around Comes Around studded and patched vintage motorcycle jacket!

If you watched Kell on Earth last night, then you saw a model collapse at the Genetic Denim presentation. Don’t let that be you! On top of balancing a healthy diet and rest, I have the secret to staying energized when going from show-to-show during Fashion Week: Squeezing your gluteus maximus! I’m not just speaking to the models. This is for all of us who will be walking to Tents and off-site shows, or who climb the subway steps daily.

I met with Fitness Expert Julie Bobek at The Sports Club/LA, a five-star luxury club in Rockefeller Center. Bobek shows BeChicMag.com model Anais how to strengthen her legs and keep her balance when standing on high heels for long hours. BeChicMag.com started its Fashion Week coverage this season by speaking with Fern Mallis of IMG Fashion. Our writers are looking forward to so many shows including Rebecca Taylor‘s! We got a hold of her sketches that show us what to expect on her runway show this weekend. The Fall 2010 Collection was inspired by a mixture of 70′s Parisian attitude and an urban New York City girl. With a renewed love for classic sportswear, silhouettes have been reworked with a twist to give subtle edge on signature feminine designs. The palette includes dusty hues and new neutrals contrasted with military olives and hints of old gold. Fabrics are washed to provide a worn, overly-loved appeal and are combined with cashmere wool suits, leopard faux furs and down quilted coats, together giving this collection an affordable luxe quality.
