Thanks to Warner Brothers we virtually caught up with SJP and the rest of the ladies live online.

Neon yellow. Neon pink. Strapless, gold and sequins. These are some of the trends we noticed at the Sex and the City 2 movie premiere.

We really did get ‘carried’ away, with Sarah Jessica Parker‘s bright yellow, one-shoulder dress and its gorgeous train from Valentino. Her lips were nude with a dash of pink. Kim Cattrall looked super chic in a gold gown while Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis rocked tube top frocks.

Does Sarah Jessica Parker think SATC impacted women’s lives globally?

“Sometimes I think when I’m walking in the city, or driving in the city, when I see a group of four women walking or a table of women at a restaurant- I’ve seen this scenario more and it would be great if we had something to do with that in the most miniscule way,” says SJP who is not only one of the stars but also an executive producer. “I am deeply, deeply involved in every single part of it from putting it together, marketing, negotiating contracts- literally everything. It’s stuff I’ve been doing for so long; it’s the only way I know how to be involved.”

Wondering how long it took the crew and producers to coordinate the wardrobe? Sarah Jessica Parker says she started planning the wardrobe for the entire movie on June of 2009! It’s a long process that begins months ahead. While Carrie is an avid shopper, SJP admits she isn’t one. “In many ways, I’m the same I’ve always been. I’m not a big shopper, and I still have the same things I’ve had since I left high school.”

Kim Cattrall strongly believes that the series has forever changed the way women face and discuss certain topics. “[This] is really fantastic. It’s extreme! You can’t imagine from the beginning 14 years ago to tonight- it’s just thrilling to be a part of it,” says Cattrall who plays Samantha. “I think there’s a voice now for women that didn’t exist before. I think it’s a voice that’s reflecting the challenges specifically of being a woman today, and I hope we do it with humor and intelligence. This show celebrates women, but I think it also celebrates life.” -Mercedes
