Makeup and skincare tips for fall

By Mercedes Sanchez

It’s getting nippy out there, and I already feel a need to change my skincare routine. I know that a lot of you (especially those with sensitive skin) are feeling the same thing.

I don’t mind going makeup free for a day or two, but makeup is part of our daily lives. And now that it’s getting colder, it’s time to prevent dry skin and flaky makeup.

Here are some daily skincare tips to follow to assure you’re being kind to your skin this season, but to also ensure your makeup goes on smoothly and stays in place during the cooler temperatures:

1. I like to begin my mornings with a water-based cleanser, but if you have dry skin consider a conditioning cleanser such as Simple Skincare’s Moisturizing Facial Wash.

2. Before grabbing your makeup, be sure to apply cream. To prevent flaky looking skin, I recommend Simple’s Hydrating Light Moisturizer. If you’re more on the dry side consider the Replenishing Rich Moisturizer .

3. Let your moisturizer set in and then add apply a liquid foundation of your choice.

4. In the evening, don’t go a night without removing your makeup and applying an evening cream such as the Vital Vitamin Night Cream.

This might take a little longer that your summer routine, but it’ll be worth it.
