The chic nail and spa boutique, Dashing Diva, is hosting a manicures and martinis event on behalf of the American Fertility Association. Yes, ladies… The event is to school us on infertility prevention while getting pampered. Dr. Jamie Grifo from the NYU School of Medicine will be the featured speaker at this inaugural event.

These days more women are getting married and having children in their late 20’s and mid-30’s. Women who are at least 21 years old are invited to enjoy a manicure and martini while having a conversation with Dr. Grifo on simple steps that can be taken now to enhance the chances of conceiving later. They’ll also be serving the Fertilitini™ an organic, alcohol-free specialty drink whose recipe is the result of a contest.

Manicures & Martinis is expected to roll through approximately 20 US cities in 2009. If you’re in New York, get your manicure and martini on January 27 for $15.
