It’s finally here! Our two-page spread in People en Español!

What a perfect time to be featured! People en Español‘s June issue is also when their annual 50 Más Bellos (50 Most Beautiful) list is published.  Zoe Saldana, Ricky Martin and Thalia are on the cover.

What I wore to a friend’s fundraiser

On early Saturday evening, the BF and I headed to Brooklyn for a friend’s fundraiser.

Since many of you often ask me about the makeup I wear, I decided to take note of all the products I used and share them with you here.

Products for the Early Evening

1. I started my early evening beauty routine with Complex 15 moisturizer. When I was dealing with adult acne, my dermatologist recommended  it, and I’ve been using ever it since. It’s a light moisturizer but has no SPF.

2. For a simple night (or day) out, I like to use Bare Escentuals’ Mineral Foundation. It’s the perfect choice if you’re running late and don’t want to over do it. It comes with sun protection and goes well with the Complex 15 moisturizer.

3. I just started using the Clinique Quickliner for Eyes Intense and I love it. It goes on smoothly and has a smudge tip should you want to try a smokey eye.

4. For the past few weeks, I’ve been using CoverGirl’s LashBlast 24 Hour mascara, but for this look, I used the L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes.

5. Like most people, my lips get dry during the winter. So before applying any type of lipstick, I make sure that my lips are moisturized. I’ve been using Blistex’s Lip Medex.

6. Instead of using a bronzer, I applied the Estée Lauder Mad Men Collection Creme Rouge in Evening Rose blush. Tip: Tap your brush a few times before applying it on your cheeks. In addition to their excellent packaging (they come in a gold, leather-like pouch), I love the Cherry moisturizing lipstick.

5 products I use before bed

Preparation for the work week for me begins with a relaxing Sunday evening. Here are some of the products I used before bed last night.

1. Oil-Free Makeup Remover by Mary Kay

I remove my eyeliner and mascara before heading in the shower. Even though it’s oil-free, I’m extra careful not to get any of it on my face.

2. Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo, Conditioner and Anti-Frizz Serum

This new line by Dove is weightless and it doesn’t have a strong fragrance. After combing my hair, I added a dime-sized amount of the anti-frizz serum and wrapped my hair in a bun. On Monday morning, I wore my hair down in its natural waves.

3. Simple Skincare Vital Vitamin Night Cream

I put this over my prescribed azelaic acid gel (which helps fight breakouts). The night cream is full of vitamins B5 and E which help soften, smooth and moisturize.

4. Eucerin Daily Replenishing Lotion

I apply it immediately after the shower, and it feels great after shaving my legs. It’s fragrance free and lasts all night and day.

5. Estée Lauder Teal Topaz Nail Polish (Limited Edition)

I’ve had this polish in my bin for a while now, and I finally tried it out. Although it’s part of their Spring 2012 collection, this shade is perfect for February.

For women like me who prefer lipstick but like the simplicity of a gloss, Clinique’s Almost Lipstick is ideal. I love that it’s not gooey or shiny yet it goes on smoothly.

Bonus: It’s ultralight and paraben-free.
