A Rockstar of a Preview

Xbox 360 and Rockstar Games recently collaborated for an exclusive event that introduced the public to the latest addition (exclusively for Xbox) of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The game is called The Lost and Damned. Same premise, different characters. The idea is that you are now a member of a bike gang that- in addition to completing missions- terrorizes the city the same way any character has ever had for GTA. The Lost and Damned is the first exclusive downloadable add-on episode from Rockstar Games, extending the GTA IV franchise for Xbox 360 owners as they take control of bike gang leader Johnny Klebitz through Liberty City.

The event was HOT. Industry heads and game lovers got the chance to play GTA while enjoying beats from Funkmaster Flex, DJ Enuff and his crew of Heavy Hitters. There were flat screens and Xbox 360 consoles for the guests to try out the game and test their GTA skills. Celebs even showed up, including, Lady J., Mr. C., Laura Styles, L Boogs, DJ Enuff and Tony Touch.   Check out some photos below and the debut trailer of The Lost and Damned.

A VERY “BREAKFAST IN TIFFANY” BIRTHDAY

If you’re an Audrey Hepburn fan, then you’re familiar with Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Well, meet Joselyn Martinez- a performer, actress and singer who for her birthday invited her girlfriends over for “breakfast at Joselyn’s”. The girls had brunch and invited the boys for the latter part of the day.

With the recession and all Joselyn says, “I didn’t want to burden people with a party right after the huge holidays. I wanted to see what I could come up with. Besides I come from a Dominican background and good or bad, there is always a party”. To make it an even better function, she ordered food from the upper Manhattan hotspot Mamajuana and hired astrologist Rebecca Gordon.

Not only did Joselyn look fabulous as she rocked a cigarette holder just as Audrey did in the film, but I couldn’t help but notice the very chic skirt she wore. Like Joselyn, I also own a pair. This pink bubble skirt is one of those few items one seldom comes across: inexpensive, chic and I wouldn’t mind wearing it again! - Mercedes Sanchez Check out the photo gallery below:

While most people my age might be crushing on celebs like Justin Timberlake, Usher or Brad Pitt, I am not ashamed to say that I’ve been rocking an imaginary cradle with Joe Jonas. And to those who might not be familiar with the name (as I just learned of him a few months ago), he’s yet another Disney Channel sensation and member of The Jonas Brothers.

The New Jersey native is barely 19, but after seeing the last scene of Camp Rock I share a common interest with all tween girls. It’s something about how his mouth moves when he’s singing and the look in his eyes. Well, take a look for yourself in this clip of Camp Rock.

I had a slight obsession with Penelope during college. (I posted her picture as my main photo on those social networking sites and taped some pictures on the walls of my college dorm. Sick- I know!)

Ads of the sultry sisters are all over the city including the corner of Houston and Broadway where the new Mango store will open later this fall. At first I was a little doubtful, but after browsing through the Mango Web site, I have to admit the line is urban chic and quite affordable.
