As a child and coming from a third world country I was taught that AMERICA was the country of EQUALITY and FREEDOM. Now as an adult, who has no medical coverage and is paying high tuition to go to college makes me re-think this concept and if indeed AMERICA IS THE LAND OF EQUALITY and FREEDOM. Can we living in this country be equal without losing freedom or enjoy freedom without losing equality? Can we have both?

My partner and I were furious with what we saw last night. I was thoroughly angry, not just because of the health care situation but because we have the nerve to look down upon other countries who have better systems than us. They throw all these reports at us telling us how terrible things are, yet they're really only doing that so we won't be incensed with how terrible our health care system is.

Anyways, I'm not going to France, but England on the other hand ... hmmm ...
