Setting the table shouldn’t be hard, but if you’re hosting a Thanksgiving dinner, you want to make a great impression. Here are some simple ideas.
First, I did some shopping! As I walked through the aisles, I decided to stick with neutral colors like greys, light browns, and only a few hints of red and gold. I was trying to go for a more modern/adult look as opposed to the typical turkey print, paper cups, and paper plates (I love those BTW. Not hating as they were always my go to). Oh, and we can’t forget about the paper tablecloth with turkeys around the border.
Everything pictured can be rearranged in many different ways, but here are some ideas. Hope you get inspired.
For my first look, (pictured below) I placed round gold charger plates with a scale design to add color and help my cream-colored plates stand out. My centerpiece is a beautiful gold trim glass lantern I surrounded with hypericum berry stems and some leafy greens. I opted out of using placemats because I wanted a more simple, sleek, and modern style.
My second look is very simple and modest with a large glass candle vase as the centerpiece. Here, I used a table runner for added decor. The neutral color of light brown with the silver leaf design stands out nicely. Also, I’ve placed the berries on top of the napkins for a small pop of color.
This last look is my favorite. I call it “The Glam.” I fell in love with these beautiful long mercury glass candle holders. I didn’t have any long steam candles on hand, so I used two small votives on top. I also went for a more modern take on the champagne glasses using stemless flutes instead of the traditional long stem look. The centerpiece is something I bought back in October for my Halloween decor, but it worked out perfect for this look. I love the detail on the napkin rings; the silver and white beading is the perfect touch of GLAM!
