Ashley Judd’s Slam-Poetry-Speech at the Women’s March in Washington

January 21, 2017

Watch Ashley Judd’s “Nasty Woman” Poem:

As much as I wanted to go, I wasn’t able to attend the Women’s March in Washington. Instead, I watched a livestream from my TV this morning. From D.C.’s Mayor Muriel Bowser, filmmaker and activist Michael Moore to actress Ashley Judd. If you missed Judd’s speech, I ENCOURAGE you to take five minutes to watch it above.

Instead of a traditional speech, Judd brought out her slam poetry skills and preached! It gave me chills, got me teary-eyed and most of all inspired.

Like Moore advised, call your elected officials in Congress and fight for your rights. The number is 202-224-3121. If you don’t know your senator’s name, give the rep your zipcode. Call and fight for the issues closest to your heart.
