HOW NOT TO COLLAPSE DURING FASHION WEEK

By MERCEDES SANCHEZ

kellonearth_bechicmagIf you watched Kell on Earth last night, then you saw a model collapse at the Genetic Denim presentation. Don’t let that be you! On top of balancing a healthy diet and rest, I have the secret to staying energized when going from show-to-show during Fashion Week: Squeezing your gluteus maximus! I’m not just speaking to the models. This is for all of us who will be walking to Tents and off-site shows, or who climb the subway steps daily.

I met with Fitness Expert Julie Bobek at The Sports Club/LA, a five-star luxury club in Rockefeller Center. Bobek shows BeChicMag.com model Anais how to strengthen her legs and keep her balance when standing on high heels for long hours. Don’t let what happened to the model on Kell on Earth happen to you and watch our video below, or on our BeChicTV page here.

Great video for fitness during fashion week especially since it’s our daughter, Julie. Love your BeChic Magazine. Have searched the site throughly. Will continue to look through previous months. Keep up the great work.

As a fashion week attendee, I am painfully aware of the wobbly legs syndrome that starts to set in around day 3. I will definitely try out these tips. Thanks Julie!
