Beauty Tutorial: Day to Night Makeup Using "The Estee Edit" Collection
By Clartiza Q., Contributing Writer This past spring I attended Estée Lauder's launch party for The Estée Edit Collection, a new makeup line dedicated to millennials. Having worked with Kendall Jenner and Irene Kim, Estée Lauder was able to create a line that was young, fierce and effortless. I created a day-to-night beauty tutorial with the new collection.
Make sure to check out Be Chic Mag's latest video (my first!) above, where I give you step-by-step tips on how to create a natural day look and show you how to take it up a notch for the evening. Below are some of my favorite products from the collection.
Pore Vanishing Stick
This works wonders! The Pore Vanishing Stick minimizes pores and brightens your face. If you wake up late (like me) you can either use this as your foundation as it "blurs" out any imperfections, or as a primer for your foundation.
"The Editor" Makeup Palette
Considering Kendall Jenner and Irene Kim collaborated on creating the look for this palette, the colors are gorgeous. However, there is some fallout on many of the shades especially the glittery ones. I would suggest using an eye primer before applying.
I've never been a cream eyeshadow user, but these shadow sticks have switched me over. I love how they're so easy to apply and blend very well. You can also pack it on for more, or be very simple and just swipe a glimmer.
Blush in Coy Coral
The blushes work very well especially for the summer. Coy Coral is a peach color that's bright enough if you pack it on, but it still has an overall natural feel. None of the products feel heavy on your face.
Overall, makeup should be fun to do and not stressful. As a makeup lover and not quite a makeup artist, I appreciate the hassle of the morning routine is being shortened with multi purpose products.
