Makeup for TV

beauty blogger mercedes sanchez Two weeks ago I asked my friend Andrea from Andy's Face Candy to help me with my makeup for an early morning segment.

I usually do my own makeup for local segments. But because this was a national segment in which I was to bring a suitcase full of accessories, styling pins, and clothes,  and do a car pool with some of the models starting at 5:00 AM, I didn't want to stress over creating the perfect natural smokey eye while half asleep.

Here's what Andrea says she used to create my look:

I used Urban Decay Potion to prime her eye lids, then I applied Makeup Forever Aqua Cream #02 as a base. For eyeshadow, I used Urban Decay in 'Half Baked,' 'Creep,'  'Dark Horse,'  and 'Snakebite.'  I also used Lorac 'Unreal,'  on the lid and Makeup Forever #127 and #130 on the crease. For liner, I used Urban Decay 24/7 liners in 'Perversion,'  on top and 'Bourbon' on the bottom.

On the face, I used Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation Primer and L'Oreal True Match Foundation with Makeup Forever HD Foundation and set it with Rimmel Stay Matte in 'Transparent,' and Scandinavia Setting Spray. For blush, I used Mattese Elite Pink Lady Blush and Sunset Bronzing Powder.

For lashes, I used Duo Lash Glue with Kiss Lashes and MAC Cosmetics False Lashes Water Proof Lash Mascara. For the  lips,  I used NYX  Jumbo Lip Pencil.
