Original Blog Post:
Whether you have a demanding job, difficult classes or you're raising a family, stress is something we all have in common -- which can lead to zits! Stress increases the level of natural oils produced by the skin causing it to break out.
Here are some tips on staying stress-free and keeping your skin healthy. Find details on the giveaway towards the bottom of the post.
Eliminate Stress with these Tips:
Get organized: Make a realistic to-do list and stick to it. Give yourself deadlines for projects at work, home or school. If you're going back to college or grad school this fall, Neutrogena has back to school savings for your beauty essentials and they're worth checking out here.
Wash your hands: Take a break from your busy schedule to just wash your hands. As you wash away dirt and germs, you might forget about whatever is stressing you out-- even if it's just for a few seconds.
Leave work at work: Sounds easier said than done, but if you have the luxury of not bringing work home then don't. Stay offline and ignore your computer.
Eat ice cream: I've developed a habit-- still not sure if it's bad or good-- but I now stock up on vanilla milk chocolate almond bars and have two a week.
Cleanse before bed: As much as I dislike washing my face before bed, I find it relaxing once I begin. I prefer foam cleansers because they don't dry out my skin. Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Foam Wash cleans deep into pores without stripping skin of its moisture. Watch and find out why I dislike washing my face before bed
For the lazy girls: For those dog days when you really don't want to hit the sink, I recommend Neutrogena's Night Cleansing Pads (pictured above). These pads are perfect for lazy girls because they come pre-moistened and don't require rinsing after removing oil and makeup. Personal Tip: I always try to rinse even when using pads or towelettes. As you may have read in my adult acne diary, my skin is sensitive and I can't afford not to remove all residue.
Tell me how you like to relax, or your favorite way to eliminate stress, for your chance to win a Neutrogena Gift Basket worth $50. The basket includes products from the Neutrogena Acne Stress Control line, a Wave for Change Tote Bag and a bath kit! Take a look at the photos and leave your comments in the box below.
