Buy Your Prom Dress for Less
Sure most of us are excited for the longer days and lighter jackets that come with spring. But for teenage girls in high school this time of year is all about prom. What’s the trend nowadays? Should the dresses be long? Or short? Strapless? Traditional; two-piece? The possibilities are endless and that’s why JCPenney’s “Say Yes to the Prom” and T.J. Maxx's Prom Shop are making it easy and fun this time around.
T.J. Maxx’s Prom Shop is super flexible for different budgets with prices ranging from $19.99 to $249.99. Not only are the dresses perfect for any budget but available in a variety of sizes carrying a mix of juniors, women’s and plus size. You might be able to find some pieces at select stores but most are exclusive to the online shop.
As seen on Malia and Sasha Obama at their first White House State Dinner, long, full and flirty A-Line gowns with elegant embroidery are classic and timeless. However, you can still be classy with darker silhouettes with an edgier neckline. Both styles are completely opposite, yet fit any personality. The prom shop has a multitude of styles for any prom girl.
Having options is a shopper’s dream and with Say Yes to the Prom Dress with JCPenney, prom girls have yet another exclusive prom shop with hundreds of dresses to choose from.
On March 14, Monte Durham, fashion director and star of TLC’S "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta," helped guide students with over 2,000 donated dresses and tuxedo rentals paired with accessories and shoes.
For five years the Say Yes to the Prom Dress Tour has been stopping in major cities and making students feel like royalty for the prom. Contributions from a number of different associations like AT&T, People, the Emma Bowen Foundation, Men’s Warehouse and others made some dreams come true.
Kellie Ferraro, one of JCPenney’s Salon stylists witnessed these transformations first hand. "The Salon by InStyle inside JCPenney is styling all of the girls here today. We're trying our best to make their dreams come true and make sure each and every one of them feel spectacular—they deserve to feel like the princesses (and princes) that they are," said Ferraro.
It’s not impossible to find your dream prom dress and with the help of T.J. Maxx and JCPenney, things just got a million times easier. Have fun with it; you only get prom once!
