Don't you just love a new bedding set?
Your bedroom should be a place where you feel relaxed and soothed after a busy day. So when my comforter set came in, I felt as though Christmas came early. My bedroom needed a quick upgrade, and it was as easy as changing the covers.
I just got the Eva Longoria new comforter set and upon first glance at the package, I knew I was going to love it!
The comforter is a rich and vibrant teal with off-white/cream colors. The patterns have a Moroccan vibe that I really like. The set comes with a comforter, two pillow shams, and a bed skirt. I usually don't like to use bed skirts, but this one is such a beautiful color and 100% cotton, I couldn't resist.
On a side note: Have you noticed that sometimes your quilt or duvet doesn't quite fit the size of your bed the way it appears in the ad? On the flyer you would see it fall evenly on both sides with the perfect length. So it upsets me when I finally make the purchase and lay it on the bed only to see it look nothing like the ad. Instead, it seems as though it shrunk!
The problem isn't the comforter, but the mattress, box spring or the bed frame you have. I love me a great pillow top mattress, but it adds inches to the height making the quilt appear shorter. A box spring can cause the entire mattress to lift a couple of inches away from the edge of your bed frame. And if you have a high bed frame, this can cause the look of your covers to appear smaller in size.
My advice is to get the next size up or shop around for the right fit. You don’t want to end up with something that’s too big or too small. Once you’ve found the brand that works best, stick with them. But remember, this only applies when buying just the comforter, quilt, or duvet. You don’t want to end up with bigger sized bed skirts or pillowcases.
Back to the comforter set: The top layer is cotton sateen, with a polyester fill and a polyester lining. Eva Longoria's comforter set, available at JCPenney, will definitely keep you snugged without overheating you throughout the night. I honestly slept like a baby. I would absolutely recommend this set to anyone looking for an affordable and durable comforter set.
Consider this set if you want to update your bedroom with style without sacrificing comfort. I give it two thumbs up!
Thanks to our friends at JCPenney for the comforter. This is not a sponsored post.
