I don't know a chicer way to start the day! Here I am with Clinique Makeup Artist Jenna Menard in Chelsea where I was treated to a makeover and gorgeous photos. Jenna and I hit it off right away over a light breakfast where we talked about our love for makeup, skincare and Casa de Campo, the resort I visited last month in the Dominican Republic. (Find photos & video of the shoot and products below).
I was the first blogger of the two-day series to get a makeover. We got right to it starting with the Repairwear Laser Focus All-Smooth Makeup Foundation which hits stores this September. The liquid makeup is lightweight and you'll see how well it covered those annoying acne scars that I often refer to on BeChicMag.com. While it covers imperfections, this new product also helps prevent wrinkles and UV damage with its advanced technology from its de-aging serum, the Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle and UV Damage Corrector. I was quite impressed with how soft the foundation was once Jenna applied it.
And if you've been following me for a while, you know that I prefer minimal makeup. I tend to wear dark eyeliner to accentuate my eyes for a night out on the town, but during the week I go for a no-makeup look and that's what we decided for the shoot. Here Jenna is adding the Clinique Lid Smoothie (#2 Cashew Water). Jenna applied the foundation with a damp sponge but says fingers are always good too. When it comes to concealer, she suggests using a brush.
Here I am with fotog Richard Phibbs. He's photographed stars like Pedro Almodovar, Jon Hamm, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Hudson, Kirsten Dunst, Lenny Kravitz, Diane Lane, Tilda Swinton and many other A-listers.
And here is the grand finale! Which one of the two do you like best? #1 or #2?
The following image was Richard's favorite. I asked him why, and he said it was sexy. I realized I didn't have any photos like this one and started to see what Richard saw. From the long messy hair to the natural highlights to the eyes, it's one of my favorites too.
The new Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus All-Smooth Makeup SPF 15 foundation will be offered in 12 shades for fair to deep complexions and different skin types. Available in September. $32.50

I want to know: What's your favorite foundation? Do you prefer mineral, powder or liquid foundation?
Diclaimer: I was not compensated for this post. I did receive complimentary photos and makeup products from Clinique.
