4th of July Must Haves

By Camlyn Valdez With the 4th of July literally around the corner, we want to make sure you're all prepared for a day out at the beach, pool, park, wherever you'll be soaking up the sun!

First thing's first, always wear your sun screen. You can wear your tinted moisturizer or even foundation that has different levels of SPF such as Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream discussed in our "Sweat Proof your Makeup" blog post.

A fresh face is must, with a bit of mascara and lip balm - you're good to go!  You can always brighten up your outfit with a lip stain or lipstick - Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain is one of our top choices; CoverGirl Outlast Lip Stain is also a good option. $8

Second, comes down to your outfit. Red, whites, and blues are our go to colors for this patriotic day. Denim is always a go to; however, it may be a bit too warm. Opt for a chambray top for a lighter feel. They pair well with anything. You can find them for as low as $17.00 at Old Navy. J.Crew and Levi's also have cute selections.

High waisted shorts are definitely "in," and ankle cropped pants will always be a fave of mine! But bottoms you can always play around with depending on your style.

If you'd rather wear a dress, go for it. Maxi dresses and sundresses will never go out of style. They're effortless and incredibly comfortable.

Any outfit can be dressed up or dressed down depending on your shoe choice. So, if you're going from a BBQ to a bar you can always switch from your sandals or flats to your wedges. Or you can always opt for an all around casual look, after all, it is the fourth of July - this day is meant for tanning, drinks, and fun. To be comfy is key!
