Eliana Murargy: From Africa to Brazilian Runway

Bold colors hit Brasilia By Mercedes Sanchez

eliana murargy designerWe had the pleasure of meeting Eliana Murargy, of Murade, the night before her fashion show in Brazil.

"This is the first time I used so many different colors," says Eliana. "It almost makes me nervous because I usually stick to black."

Eliana-- who we can say is literally international-- went to school in South Africa and has been living in Brasilia for the past four years. Her father is the ambassador of Mozambique in Brazil while her mother is the ambassador in Switzerland!

Murargy used silk and satin for her bold frocks and told us that the collection represents the African Maasai group integrated with a modern, urban woman.
