What to wear when it's 52° in January

Talk about a drastic change?! Just two weeks ago I was wearing my parka and bomber hat during the Bomb Cyclone looking unrecognizable in these streets. (I'll try to take a pic next time the weather drops). But today? It's 52° in January and I have the perfect recommendation on what to wear when its unseasonably warm: a long or oversized jacket or coat.

No matter the color, a long or oversized coat is a must have. You can keep it in your closet year round as the weather is unpredictable. This one is from TJ Maxx but you can find similar options at Zara and Uniqlo. By the way, Zara had a huge sale last week! Other year round essentials: oversized cozy turtle necks and booties. amzn_assoc_placement = "adunit0"; amzn_assoc_search_bar = "true"; amzn_assoc_tracking_id = "amzn.to2yzfpab-20"; amzn_assoc_ad_mode = "manual"; amzn_assoc_ad_type = "smart"; amzn_assoc_marketplace = "amazon"; amzn_assoc_region = "US"; amzn_assoc_title = "Mercedes' Coat Picks"; amzn_assoc_linkid = "704444d3eb9af0d071b7dced2c09f482"; amzn_assoc_asins = "B017NGHCO0,B01M27GWDQ,B077TQFMR4,B075DDBQKL";

I also wore the gray coat in a monochromatic style with a gray, faux-suede jacket/sweater and blocked heels.

Talking about Zara, here I am trying the black, faux patent leather blocked heelsI wore in the previous picture. These are my new favorite shoes because I can actually walk with them in street! So ideal for going to meetings or to my freelance gig. Well, when it's warm enough. Otherwise, I wear my boots or sneakers during my commute.

How are you dealing with the cold in your area?
