Hide your gut with a printed dress
I loved the prints in this boatneck dress, and I just had to get it. As I have already told you in prior posts, I'm self conscious and sometimes insecure about my midriff section. I've put on weight in the last two years and it goes straight to my tummy.
But I was surprised to see a little less of my gut when I got dressed this morning. (Disclaimer: I have many photos of my side profile where my gut is clearly visible even in this printed dress - but from this angle it's hardly there).
The design on top with the solid circles are different from the others. So because there's a lot going on, it distracts the eye from the belly.
And it's not just the print. It's also the soft fabric. In the white cotton dress I wore a few days ago you can notice where the fabric folds but this printed dress won't bulge.

This was a great selection for a summer day in New York City. I love that the fitted style is flattering and not tight. The pop of white and hints of red against the navy blue makes it a timeless piece for any time of year.
