Summer to Fall Fashion
Fall Fashion By Mercedes Sanchez
I love the summer, but when it comes to style, fall fashion is so much more interesting-- and expensive. I'm here to tell you how you can easily transition some of your favorite summer pieces into your fall wardrobe and save some money. I was live on the Univision 41 morning news program, Al Despertar, giving these tips to the entire tri-state. Watch the segment below!
As well all know, colored jeans were a huge trend this summer. There are some women who own many -- from bright colors to pastels! Are they really supposed to store them in a box or toss them out? No way! You can continue to wear your colored jeans this fall by pairing it with a black blazer and heels. The black accents give these fun jeans a sophisticated look.
I styled Ana (left) with red jeans from Old Navy and an oversized purse from T.J. Maxx.
Chambray shirts for men
For the past couple of months we've seen guys rocking these chambray shirts with cuffed sleeves and khaki pants. This fall, guys can rock the denim on denim trend with a pair of dark pants. I styled Ariel (right) with dark jeans from Old Navy and slip-on shoes from Marshalls.
Prints are still in! You can combine a leopard dress with a solid white blazer like this one from MNG Mango.
I was glad this dress fit Jennifer (left) so well! From my personal experience, I've noticed that Old Navy dresses occasionally run big, but I selected this one from the "petite" section on their Web site. Doesn't she look great? This wrap dress hugs her curves in all the right places.
Classic T-shirt and Jeans
Ladies, pay attention. Do not put away your white pants just because it's Labor Day. The truth is you can wear white year-round.
Coral and orange tones were also popular throughout the summer. For Vanessa's look, I found a darker shade of orange and combined it with a classic, white skinny jean and black heels. Her gold necklace is available at T.J. Maxx.
What are some of your favorite summer pieces that you will continue to wear in the fall?Â
