Hidden hazards that live in your closet
5 fashion pieces that can harm you By Mercedes Sanchez
Without realizing it, we may be harming our bodies with some of today's latest fashion trends. Here's why the following five items can be dangerous:
Skinny jeans and low-rise alike can cause a range of problems like bladder infections and blood clots. Tight jeans may also put pressure on nerves causing numbness and burning sensation along the thighs.
Wearing stilettos isn't only painful, it can affect your posture, irritate your skin and deform your toes!
I know first hand that tight bras can lead to respiratory problems, but did you know that it may lead to irritation of the skin and even fungal infections?!
Wearing a wet bathing for too long can cause yeast infections. Avoid an infection by changing out of your wet suit as soon as you can. The same goes for sweaty workout clothes and tight garments.
For many women, wearing a thong often leads to a yeast infection. Thongs can also increase the chances of urinary tract infections (UTI) because they help push bacteria from the rectum up into the urethra.
Fajas or shapewear can also be dangerous, but there's no denying that they're sometimes vital. Take a look at the new Skinnygirl Shapewear here.
