By MERCEDES Courtesy: Kevin St-Fort We caught up with Queen Latifah and actor/rapper Common at the Ziegfeld Theatre for the premiere of the new romantic comedy Just Wright.

Michael Elliot wrote the script seven years ago and says watching it hit the big screen is a dream come true!

"There's a type of woman in Hollywood who always gets the guy. When I thought about my mother, aunts and many other women I know, I felt there wasn't a movie for them- where they saw themselves getting the guy without changing," says Elliot. "That was my motivation for Just Wright. Queen Latifah was the only actress who could play this character. I pitched her the idea and she came on board as a producer as well."

For our red carpet coverage of last night's Just Wright premiere, watch the video below or on our BeChicTV page. Stay tuned and catch our interview with the stars of the film and Laz Alonso, Phylicia Rashad and Treach of Naughty by Nature.

Just Wright hits theaters May 14.
